!Municipal Plant Soon to be in Ship
Shape for Reception.
City Engineer Osgood and C. B. Bade
were in town g~texday !poking over
the new water ~~~en~~ which will soon
be ready to turn over to the city. Some
unavoidable delay was caused by the
breaking of a couple of T-joints which
being of a peculiar size and shape were
not obtainable here and had to be or-
dered from the east. This difficulty-
has been removed, however, and were
it not for some apparent defect in the
motor the plant would now be ready
far final acceptance. The motor has
shown a tendency to-heat and it was at
first thought possible that a mistake
had been made at the factory and the
machine marked and billed out as being
of higher power than it was capable of.
Experts who have examined it, how-
ever, declare that the pump working at
full speed does not overload the motor,
but as yet they have not diseowtred the
cause of the trouble. Mr. Bade ex-
pressed 'the opinion yesterday that it
