A new 50 h. p. electric motiar was re-
eelvsil 11!londay to take the place of the
35 h p. which was found. too light for
the work. The supply of water in the
•we11 shows. no signs of diminution,
Superintendent Purkeygile reporting
that but little impression is triads on
the supply in keeping the reservoir
full. The water is pure and; wholesome
and all who are now using it are -more
than pleased with the. char-b.e, from the
old shallow wells.

ing dastxicts which are not yet covered
by the mains are complaining because
they ace deprived the convenience of
<city water, and it seems to be only a
~questioq o$ a short time until the city
will be forced to tatce steps to extend
the tnaina to cover X11• of the town now
being built up.
