P The name "Crater" was chosen a principally because it was short, h impartial, and suggestive of the one landmark or scenic wonder associ- `C ated throughout the state with I ~ southern Oregon,-- naYnely Crater ~ I Lake: Also the name offers many 1 possibilities -for songs, yells, and for team names such as "~'Jizard" .for a Wizard Island, or• "Phantoms" fo: h The Phantom Ship, or Volcanos, a• s< Craters.
