The business center of Central
Point is. soon to have another mod-
ern store. Last July, Mr. and Mrs.
M. C.. Gleason purchased the Roy
Jones buildings at 233-137 Pine St.
• and are now completing extensive
remodeling on the old Central Point
Market building for the new occu-
~_ pant-the Central Paint Pharmacy,
operated by Mr. and Mrs. Charles
Whisenant.
~1he Pharmacy will be moved as
soon as the remodeling is completed
which will prab~ably be the middle
,, of January. A very modernistic
front has been planned, using t.~c~
new Romair the in various colors as
the base. The entrance has been
enhanced with sloping glass win-
dows and a swinging door has. been
installed., The interior is bung r -
decorated in general with ne~~
floor coverings and open shelving.
Mr. and Mrs. Whisenant plan a
modern drug store, to 6e carrYpar-
able to any in this area. The;r
stock will b~e more complete, as they
.,.have been steadily increasing their
merchandise as Yhey have learned of
their eustoiners' desires. They will
continue the policy of giving S & H
green stamps, vnibh double amounts
on prescriptions.
The Gleasons •plan further re-
modeling-the interior o! the Pierce
Electric store builc~ng will be re-
done during the summer.
