A RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING AND
INITIATING PROCEEDINGS TO VACATE A PORTION OF BIGHAM STREET
BETWEEN EAST PINE STREET AND FREEMAN ROAD
WHEREAS, the Central Point City Council is authorized under ORS 271.130 to initiate vacation
proceedings for any public street and to make such vacation without petition or consent of
property owners; and
WHEREAS, the Central Point Comprehensive Plan and its transportation element reflect the
realignments that have been built in the past thus creating an unnecessary remainder on Bigham
Street between East Pine Street and Freeman Road; and
WHEREAS, the Central Point City Council desires to vacate a portion of Bigham Street between
East Pine Street and Freeman Road;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CENTRAL POINT, OREGON that a public hearing is set for ~ , 2007, at 7:00 p.m.
in the Central Point Council Chambers, City Hall, 140 South Third treet, Central Point to heaz
objections to said vacation and to make a determination regazding the same. Notice of said public
hearing shall be provided in accordance with ORS 271.110.
