HomeMy WebLinkAboutCouncil Resolution 1134,. e RESOLUTION NO ~ti3~ A RESOLUTION PERMITING THE DEMOLITION OF A RESIDENTIAL BUILDING OF UNDOCUMENTED HISTORIC INTEREST ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 312 OAK STREET IN THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT, OREGON (Applicant(s): Malot Enterprises (37 2W 11 BB; TL 700) BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CENTRAL POINT, OREGON, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Application has been made by the owner of the above named real property for the demolition of a residential building of undocumented historic interest. Section 2. A public hearing was conducted on April 3, 2007 by the City Planning Commission acting as the Historic Review Board who considered the criteria established in CPMC Section 17.70.060.C and made the corresponding findings: Section 3. The present state of repair of the building and the reasonableness of estimated restoration costs do not warrant building preservation. Section 4. The character of the neighborhood in which the structure is located and its influence on or importance to other historic structures is not applicable. Section 5. The City's Comprehensive Plan for the area and the importance to the community of other planned land uses has taken precedence over the preservation of this structure. Section 6. Alternatives to demolition including preservation and relocation have been investigated and do not warrant further consideration. Section 7. The City Administrator, or his designee, shall remove references in the Comprehensive Plan to the aforementioned residential building and shall permit the demolition of said building in accordance with acceptable building code requirements.
