An invitation to join in the
sponsorsfhip of the annual Jack-
sonville Jubilee was extended to
Central Foint Lions olub Tues-
day evening by Ray Wilson,
JacksonvAle ~i.ion club member.
Wilson tald local club mem-
bers that the Jubilee has grown
too large for one club to sponsor
and prepare. ~He asked that two
delegates from the Central Point
club attend the general meeting
called for February 24 at Jack-
sonville.
Larry South and Richard Strat-
.ton will. represent t'he club at
this meeting, Other clubs through-
out the (Rogue Valley will be
.asked to 'have delegates present.
.During their dinner-business
meeting,.. members discussed
plans. to present a minstrel s1~ow.

best cottage cheese maker for
1955 at the Oregon Dairy In-
dustries annual short-course and
convention at Oregon State col-
lege, February 14-17.
Another Central Point man,
James C. I.,a Via, captured fifth
place among 17 top-ranlting cot-
tage cheese makers from through-
out Oregon who enterrd t4~e con-
test.
Gordon is employed by the
'local Borden company and La
Via by the Roguc River Valley

manufacturing, said this year's
23'3 entries for all dairy praciucts
suet a new record. Tt1e previous
high was established last year
with 213 entries in cottage cheese,
milk and cream, iee cream, butter
and cheddar cheese.
Winners. in all divisions will be
announced Thursday night at the
ODI banquet when medals, krop-
hies and other awards will be
presented.
