Then Mr $onney was ~e]ected Mayor of this city and, a new fire chief had to ' appointed. And the honor (an' grief) fell to the lot of Mr. Jack Tharp, then assistani chief, r~rho ha: spent countless hours since that time in building, up the departmen!
