'over is tho o'lci Central Point State
.Bunk ~buildirig', which has housed
the .city .offfcers for ~~ number of
years. IVtost people defer to it as
.the city hail, Last week the city
crew, Messrs Rupp and -Powell,
started in to romove all the fancy
ornamen#al brick work on the .front
of the building, including the little
"doo=dads" along the top. All pro-
jecting.briek were chipping off and
loose brick along the top of the fire
wall removed. -
_ _This. ~.week_ -the..-contractot~,- R. C.
Latimer of. Medford brought in his
_et'~uipment find started in to cover
the entire ~ building with stuccn.
When finished, the building will
t Fiave~~~all~ ~tlie appearance of a ~ ne~v
and rn~odern structure.
The city had been• experiepcinh
n good deal of trouble with this
building for a number' of years on
!account of the foot that the. walls
were becoming mare and more
porous all the time, allowing the
rains to soa)c through and ruining
the piaster inside's I~t is thought
that covering the walls with wate~•-
proof r stucco will elminiate t~~is
