Work was commenced Tuesday morn-
ing .on the construction o£ a new twrr
story business block on the property of
C. B. Roatel, at the northeast corner ~
of Third and Pine _ streets. The plans
call for the practical reconstruction of
.the present lasilding and the entire new
construction of an addition 27 1-Zx(iD,
twa stories in heighth. A modern steel
end plate glass front will fill tiie 5s
foot frontage of she building and the
constrt#etion wll! be of brick_ The
building will.be divided into two busi-
ness rooms rich 27xta0 and will matte
t-vo of the most desirable business lo-

M. Jones having secured the coarser
i room for hiH rat}idly growing furniture
~ and undertaking business, while W. D.
Lewis & Suus, proprietors of the Cent-
ral Point 'feat 141at•ket, have secured
~ the east a•oom. The meat business has
entirely outgrown the present quarters
and a move into larger and better ap-
pointed surroundings was iu~perative.

The second story will be finished in j
