HomeMy WebLinkAboutMemorandum of Understanding with Finance Department MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN CITY OF CENTRAL POINT (`City") AND TEAMSTERS LOCAL UNION NO. 223 (-Union`) City and Union are parties to a Labor Agreement that expires on June 30, 2017. City has proposed that Account Clerk Elizabeth Riddle be transferred from the Finance Department to the position of Building Permit Technician in the Community Development Department. Parties recognize that the current Labor Agreement does not address transfers within the bargaining unit. The parties therefore agree as follows: 1 . No later than April 1, 2016, Elizabeth Riddle shall be transferred from her position in the Finance Department to the position of Building Permit Technician in the Community Development Department. 2. All work plans and any pending disciplinary action concerning her position as Account Clerk:Payroll shall be rendered inactive and w7 not impact her employment in the position of Bulding Permit Technician. 3. Effective beginning the date of the transfer, Ms. Riddle shall serve a six-month probationary period and the Union recognizes the right of the Cly to discipline or discharge Ms. Riddle for any reason, at any time during the probationary period, and such discipline or discharge shaft not be grievable. 4. The job classifications mentioned above both pay at the Grade 4 Pay Scale and Ms. Riddle shall not suffer any loss in monthly wages as a result of this transfer The first of the pay period following successful completion of the probationary period, Ms_ Riddle shall be eligible for a step increase.
