THE ORIGINAL AGREEMENT, made the 28th day of February, 2013 by and between the City of Central
Point, Oregon, a municipal corporation, hereinafter called "the City" as the party of the first part, and
Christopher S. Clayton, herein after called "the Manager," as party of the second part, both of whom
agree as to the following amendments to the original Employment Agreement effective March 1, 2013
This amendment shall be effective beginning January 1, 2016. All terms of the original agreement shall
remain in effect except as specifically amended herein.
COMPENSATION, shall be amended as follows:
1) a monthly base salary of $10,833.00, effective January 1, 2016 and paid in accordance with the City's
established pay practices.
3) a contribution of 8% of the monthly base salary to a 457 deferred compensation plan, or other
government plan under IRS Code 401(a).
TERM OF AGREEMENT, shall be amended as follows:
This agreement shall remain in full force from January 1, 2016 until December 31, 2017, except as
provided for below:
a) Either party may terminate this agreement for any reason with 30 calendar day's written notice,
except that a majority vote of the City Council shall be required for the City to terminate the
agreement.
b) At the request of the City or the Manager, portions of this agreement maybe amended, in writing,
with mutual agreement, and such amendments shall be incorporated into and made part of the
original Employment Agreement effective March 1, 2013.
c) In the event written notice is not given by either party to this agreement prior to its termination
date, as provided above, this agreement shall be extended on the same terms and conditions as
provided in the original agreement effective March 1, 2013 and as herein amended, for an
additional period of one (1) year. The agreement shall continue to renew thereafter for one (1)
year periods unless either party gives written notice to the other party that the noticing party
does not wish to extend this agreement for an additional one (1) year period.
a. Nothing in this agreement shall prevent, limit or otherivise interfere with the right of the City
to terminate the services of the Manager at any time, subject only to the provisions set forth
in the agreement.
b. Nothing in this agreement shall prevent, limit or otherwise interfere with the right of the
MANAGER to resign at any time from the position with City, subject only to the provisions set
forth in the agreement.
